CHAG’s mission is to improve the quality of life of Detroit’s African American community by addressing current health issues and developing effective ways of promoting and implementing positive health strategies.

Community Health Awareness Group (CHAG) is committed to reducing the transmission of HIV, works to disseminate relevant information in communities at risk and offers a range of healthcare and support services for high risk, HIV infected individuals, and substance abusers because:
  • Health disparities in the African American community persist.

  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) remains a pressing health issue.

  • Those at risk for HIV and other health issues need information and access to testing and treatment.
